This is the first month where we begin to reap the full benefit of our hard work and preparation

HARVEST:
Broad, French and Runner Beans, Summer Cabbage, early Carrots, Shallots, Onions and Marrows

JOBS:
As throughout the year, an eye should be kept out for disease and pests, weeding and hoeing continues with watering being crucial in hot spells

PLANTING OUTDOORS:
New sowings of Beetroot, late Carrots, Spinach and Turnips can be made.
