Desborough Allotment and Garden Association

Simon Biddlecombe

I was lucky enough to get an allotment in 2011 after pestering Bob to the point of distraction.
After 2 years I was asked to join the committee and took on the role of shop manager. In 2018 I was elected Chair of the association. I also created the site you are now viewing and I hope you are enjoying it? Unfortunately I have not yet reached an age where I can afford to retire so I currently work in the printing trade as a software demonstrator and instillation engineer for Heidelberg. I guess from an early age I have always been interested in gardening and spent many hours, in my childhood home in Chandlers Ford, causing chaos in Mum and Dads garden.

I moved to Desborough in 1989 and have lived here ever since. Since having an allotment I have learned a great deal about planning and plot maintenance. I have made and continue to meet and make friends with some interesting characters in the Association
